TicketsDances of Galánta is of Zoltán Kodály's most popular orchestral works.
Yvette Bozsik returns to the roots in this choreography: she combines the traditions of Japanese butoh and Hungarian folk dance with the elements of contemporary dance, which together form a special harmony, approaching nature, depth and inner concentration.
Bozsik Yvette dedicated this choreography to butoh master Endo Tadashi.

for Kodály Zoltán's music
Strong lights cleave into the space and expose a man. It is silence. Sounds of clapping and flapping are infiltrating from outside. Their rhythm is accelerating, getting more and more intense. The man collapses. In the background, people are coming into sight, women are tying black kerchiefs, and one of them is rising above the crowd… VELEKEI László made his first piece on Kodály’s music in 2013 – that was our successful piece entitled KODÁLY. He has created his choreography Romance by rethinking that piece, which cleaves from all corners of the world-renowned composer, rendering homage to the Hungarian music scientist, music teacher and folk music researcher.
